Land Claiming in DC15
DreamCraft uses a custom version of Bonfire for simple land protection. This system lets you create named claims, expand them chunk by chunk, trust other players, set claim-wide rules, and view claims on BlueMap.

How Claims Work
Claims are chunk-based. When you claim land, you give the claim a name. Rules apply to the entire claim, not to individual chunks. If you want two neighboring areas to have different rules, give them different claim names.

A claim can contain multiple connected chunks, and the whole claim shares the same settings:
  • Claim name
  • Owner
  • Trusted players
  • Block rules
  • Entity rules

Basic Commands

/claim info - Check the claim you are standing in. Shows the claim name, owner, and rules for your current chunk.

/claim <name> - Claim your current chunk and name it. If the chunk touches one of your existing claims with the same name, it becomes part of that claim.

/claim auto <name> - Auto-claim as you walk. This toggles auto-claiming for the named claim. Walk into new chunks to add them automatically. Run the command again to turn it off.

/unclaim chunk - Unclaim only your current chunk

/unclaim claim - Unclaim the entire claim you are standing in

Claim Rules
Use rules to control what other players can do inside your claim. These are all false by default so this part is optional.

/claim setrule allowBlockBreak true/false

/claim setrule allowBlockInteract true/false

/claim setrule allowEntityInteract true/false/onlyMounts

Entity rule meanings:
  • true - Other players can interact with entities normally.
  • false - Other players cannot interact with or damage entities.
  • onlyMounts - Other players can use mounts/vehicles, but other entity interaction is blocked.

Trusting Players
Trusted players bypass the rules of the claim you are standing in.

/claim add <player> always - Trust a player permanently

/claim add <player> online - Trust a player only while you are online

/claim removeplayer <player> - Remove a trusted player

Examples

Create a claim:
/claim Home

Expand it quickly:
/claim auto Home

Protect it (these are all false by default so this part is optional):
/claim setrule allowBlockBreak false
/claim setrule allowBlockInteract false
/claim setrule allowEntityInteract false

Let a friend build:
/claim add Steve always

Remove a friend:
/claim removeplayer Steve

BlueMap

Claims appear on BlueMap with their claim name and owner, making it easier to see protected areas before building nearby.
